Overview

The Khopra Danda trek is the ultimate "off-the-beaten-path" alternative to the Ghorepani/Poon Hill circuit. It features a stunning ridge-top trail that puts you directly opposite the massive Dhaulagiri range. A unique aspect of this trek is the Community Lodge system, where profits go directly back into local schools and village development. This trek combines dramatic landscapes with a heartwarming social mission.

Highlights

  • Dhaulagiri Proximity: Get closer to the world's 7th highest peak than on any other trek.

  • Sacred Khayer Lake: A high-altitude pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.

  • Community Lodges: Stay in locally-run lodges that support rural education.

  • Wildlife: High chances of spotting Himalayan Tahr and Danphe (National Bird).
